After I have added birthday and anniversary info to a contact, is there a
quick way to add birthday and anniversary info from my contacts to the
calendar? I'd like to look at my calendar each day and know who is having a
birthday or anniversary. Of course, I could always enter the information
twice, but that is very time-consuming :(

Thanks,
Brian

depending on the type and format of the address book, I can sometimes get
the anniversary to show up. But, when I thought I had it figured out, I
repeated my steps (KDE Repository Format with a DIR type contact file), and
now I can see the Anniversaries on the calendar, but not the birthday.
Whereas, the first time I tested, I could see both dates. (Note: using one
test contact in the new resource). Originally, with the vcard format, I was
seeing all the Bdays, but no Annv's.... I can't figure out the rhyme or
reason to get both Anniversary dates and Birthdates to show up on the
calendar, but I did see them both there when testing - I just can't figure
out how to repeat the steps. Assuming I can figure that out, I'm going to
need a way to export/import my existing vcard resource into the new resource
(assuming that it is the resource format which causes Annv not to show up).

Any help is much appreciated.

I don't understand this.

I'm using kontact 1.2.5. Could someone please explain the above instruction
in a little more detail? Thanks.

it's just that easy as written :)
ok, doesn't work from the menu, but when you look at the lower left pane of
korganiser, you can see the currently used ressources - which is normally
only the standrad calendar.
there you cann also add the birthdays from kaddressbook.

Go to the Calndar tab. There you see available calendars (resources). Click
on add and add "Birthdays from KAddressbook".
